Melting Your Makeup Off?! Pixi First Impressions Review

Hello angels! Happy Tuesday to you all 🙂 I hope you have all had a fabulous day whatever you have been doing! Since mine has been a day off work, it has been so so chilled, lazing on the sofa, job hunting, blogging and doing a YouTube graphics re-launch (which I am beyond excited for!!). But today I thought I would bring you a beauty-related post because I feel like I haven’t done one in the longest time and beauty is my number passion, I love discovering new products and then sharing them with you guys! So today I am going to be chatting to you about this amazing product I recently discovered which melts your makeup off – Yes you read that right!

I have had my eye on this product that I have heard melts makeup off for the longest time and when I got paid, I thought f**k it! I’m going to treat myself to a new skincare goodie (even though I have enough skincare to last me a lifetime) (and Dermalogica is my one true love xx) (really I love u dermalogica don’t hate me).

So here it is, in all of its glory, the Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse. It consists of two main components: a solid cleansing oil and a cleansing cream and is split down the middle of the pot. Firstly, lets just sit back and enjoy how beautiful this packaging is, I mean I feel like Pixi has always had their branding spot on in my eyes, it’s just so dreamy and the pastel colours and rose gold lettering get meeeeeeee! Price-wise, Pixi is on the more high-end side of the spectrum with this product costing a whopping £24, which is rather expensive in my opinion, but I have always been happy to spend more on my skin as I think that it is really worth it, you only get one face in the end!

I am honestly so so impressed with this product and have been LOVING using it! You simply rub a small amount of the solid oil onto dry skin, and the makeup really does melt away! You follow with a damp cloth to remove the visible makeup, then follow with the cleansing cream to remove any other dirt. My skin feels so clean every time I use this and I can see this becoming a staple in my skincare basket! One thing I am questioning is how long it will last, because I can see the solid oil lasting for a fair amount of time, but I can imagine that the cream cleanser will run out quicker, purely because its easier to pick up more product than it is with the oil.

I think that Caroline Hirons (the skin goddess) has done an amazing job with this collaboration with Pixi and I am so so impressed, I knew I would be drawn to this as I do love a cleanser to remove makeup with, and have never tried a solid oil before and I really liked it!

I hope you guys enjoyed todays blogpost, I know it was a short one compared to my usual posts, but I thought I would just do a fun lil mid-week post for you all!
